I've been there before, the price for my procrastination.
I've been there before, the mirror of duplicity.
I've been there before, the reversal of fortune.
I've been there before, to be so close but not really close enough.
I've been there before, the forbidden destination.
I've been there before, the fangs of recluse.
And I don't want to come back.
I'll be putting dog-ears into this page - this new chapter,
to remind me that I don't want to go back to the times tainted with pain.
What lies in the next chapter?
Another plot twist?
A new cast of characters?
A road untravelled?
A secret unraveled?
All that I could ever wish for?
Again, who really knows, but the God above?
